Clare Campitelli

Optometrist

Clare Campitelli joined Daniel at Vision on Koornang in 2005 when it was branded as Duldig & Russo Optometry. She became co-owner in 2011. Clare brings over 25 years of experience and further education in behavioural optometry. She has an absolute passion for looking into the reasons why a child may be struggling to learn at school. She believes that it is very important to make sure that vision is not part of the cause of a learning difficulty and to find a solution when the eyes are not supporting learning properly.

Clare obtained her optometry degree in 1993. She worked with Russo & Associates Optometry for 15 years, developing her skills and completing her Masters and Fellowship in Behavioural Optometry. She has been on the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists ( ACBO) Fellowship exam board since 2013 and has been the chairperson of this board since 2016

Clare has done further study in ocular therapeutics and is able to prescribe medicines for the treatment of eye conditions such as conjunctivitis, iritis and glaucoma.

Clare has completed the INPP course in diagnosing and treating retained primitive reflexes.

Clare is trained in the fitting of ortho keratology (ortho k)  contact lenses - correcting vision while you sleep to keep you glasses free during the day.
